Colin Norgate RPT has recently completed an Oak Gavel and Striking Plate for The Guild of Investment Managers.
These were specially commissioned by Past Master & Sponsoring Alderman Robert Hughes – Penney (Alderman for the Ward of Cheap) and presented to current Master Investment Manager, Melissa Longley on 24th January 2023.

The design concept: having an element of tradition alongside a contemporary twist.
Having previously used a similar pleasing shape of the striking plate in a previous ecclesiastical commission – this produced the initial idea for the set.
The incised details on the various parts of the Handle, Gavel Head and Striking Plate completed the combination of the set
Made from reclaimed historic oak from a 15th/16th century barn in Hampshire.
