I am a wood artist using local wood, to produce unique, handmade art, and a select amount of functional craftwork in the scenic Kent countryside.
Quality is my principle; to do justice to my vision of a piece of work, and to give the wood a life beyond the lifetime of the tree; to create pieces to be loved and passed down from one generation to another.
People are often surprised to hear that my first career was as a pharmacist, however being an artist allows me expression, creativity and the satisfaction of an end product that is valued. There is no other feeling like felling an unwanted tree, and using that wood to produce an artwork from my mind.
I keep my style of work extremely varied as I relish the opportunities as well as the serious challenges to design and quality that a broad portfolio presents.
In 2014 following a rigorous independent peer review process, I was honoured to be accepted on to the Register of Professional Turners.
